Young Job Network by the Numbers

1

In three years, Young Job Network has organized three forums between 2018 and 2020 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and a side event in Kigali, Rwanda, bringing together over 20,000 people from more than 18 countries, thus creating a crucial space for sharing and networking for aspiring young professionals. These forums have played a key role in creating interpersonal connections, exchanging knowledge, and stimulating fruitful collaborations in the field of employment and professional training.

2

During this period, more than 1,500 young people were trained in various fields such as accounting, human resources, marketing, and job search techniques, thereby enhancing their skills and employability in the job market.

3

The association also facilitated over 500 connections between job-seeking youths and companies, thus promoting access to meaningful and skill-appropriate employment opportunities.

4

Thanks to these efforts, 254 internships were created, offering young professionals valuable practical experience in their field of study and effectively preparing them for a successful career.

5

Furthermore, 102 qualified jobs were created, including 32 as part of the “Manager Business Unit” project, carried out in partnership with German Cooperation in the Invest For Job initiative. This project helped to meet the talent needs of local companies while providing stable and quality employment opportunities for young graduates.

6

Finally, Young Job Network successfully mobilized nearly 1 million euros from its partners, demonstrating its ability to engage significant financial resources to support its initiatives and achieve a meaningful impact in the field of youth employment in Africa.
